1917November29Rosehall CollieryWilliamTaggartRosehall No 12, Lanark, November 29 - The trailing cable of a coal-cutting machine had been jammed between the bango of the machine and the skids, and being at the same time stretched to its utmost limit, the connection to earth through the armouring was broken, owing to the armouring becoming detached from the gate·endbox. The machine being in contact with the live conductors became live itself, and the man, who had hold of the haulage rope, received a fatal shock.
