Information on Fatal Mining Accidents
We are happy to do limited research in local newspapers for fatal mining accidents. However, we are unable to help unless an exact date of death is supplied. For information on how to obtain a death certificate, please see our Frequently Asked Questions pages. We cannot undertake research on non-fatal accidents due to the difficulty in obtaining an exact date of accident. You may find some resources to help research non-fatal accidents on our FAQ pages. Please be aware that this service is run by volunteers and it may take some time for us to access the necessary resources.To report an accidental death not listed on the site, or request information on a listed accident, please complete the form in the link below. Please read the following before submitting this form
- All requests for additions to the site must be accompanied by details of the source of the information.
- All information will be checked and confirmed new entries will be added to the site as soon as possible.
- You will be acknowledged as the source using the details entered under "Your name" - if you do not want to be acknowledged, please leave this field blank and an anonymous acknowledgement will be made.
- If you have made a request for a look-up, please check that you have submitted a valid e-mail address.
- A small plea - please can all submitters check that the date details they give are correct? This saves us time and expense in checking entries.
News - Due to other commitments, we are currently unable to respond to queries.
