If you have details of a mining fatality not recorded on the site, please complete the form below. Please read the following before submitting details:

  • We cannot add names without a definite date of death (please see our FAQ for advice on how to obtain a Scottish death certificate). 
  • All information will be checked and confirmed new entries will be added to the site as soon as possible. 
  • Please check the indexes on the site carefully before submitting information. We frequently get requests to add names which are already recorded. In many cases the Mine Inspector reports give the date of the accident, which may differ from the date of death.
