JohnMcDougalBardykes, Newton, Lanarkshire, August 17th, Accident due to electric shock.  Following upon a fall of roof in a roadway in which a cable was run, two repairers were sent to remove the debris.  The current was not cut off the cable and one of the repairers received a fatal shock owing to his shovel coming in contact with a bared conductor.
