- Completion of our latest project - a complete transcription of "Glossary of Scotch Mining Terms" by James Barrowman. Barrowman, a mining engineer who was secretary of the Mining Institute of Scotland , and mineral factor on the Duke of Hamilton's estate compiled this 74 page glossary in 1886 and its definitions of occupations, words commonly used by miners and technical mining terms are invaluable to anyone using these pages.
